Description

No. 12, Nelson Street is an early 19th-century house. It is constructed of brown brick, with red brick to the rear, and has a plain tiled roof. The building is two storeys high with a dormer attic in two bays, plus a bay over the arched passageway entrance to the right. A panelled door is located immediately left of the passageway, and is set under a segmental skewback arch. The ground-floor window to the left of the passageway is a sash window with glazing bars, also under a segmental gauged skewback arch. There are two similar sash windows with glazing bars on the first floor. The gabled roof features a central dormer with two casement windows. A stack emerges from the rear roof slope. To the rear there is a passageway with timber studwork.
