School, reused as reading room. Mid to late 1830s. Flemish bond red brick. Slate roof with gabled ends, deep eaves and verges. Small brick stack at east gable end. Plan: Rectangular 2-room plan, central partition now removed; bathrooms heated from gable end stacks. C20 outshut added on west end. Tudor style. Exterior: 1 storey. 2-window south front with chamfered brick window openings and doorway to right of centre, all with brick hoodmoulds, the doorway with chamfered wooden frame and 4-centred arch wooden spandrels; the windows boarded over: 3 similar small windows on rear (N) elevation; all with chamfered wooden 3-light frames and casements. Rusticated brick quoins and brick dentil course below eaves. Gabled louvred ventilator on right to right (E) of centre. External brick stack at east end with set-offs. Interior: Exposed brick walls and central partition removed. West (left) room ceiled. East (right) room is open to roof with king- post and strut trusses.
