Description
White House Farm is a farmhouse located at No. 44 Long Lane in Feltwell. It dates from the 17th century and features a timber-framed and rendered east wing, while the rest of the building is constructed from whitewashed clunch and brick, dating to the early 19th century. The farmhouse has a pantile roof and is designed in an L plan. The east wing is set on a brick plinth and has two storeys. Large corner studs are visible on the north gable wall, which has a set-off at the first floor. Below the weatherboarded head, there are two 20th-century casements in the gable. The south gable is made of brick and features a parapet and tumbling. The west wing was added in the early 19th century. The rear of the building is constructed from coursed clunch and has one 20th-century casement in a segmental opening, along with another casement on the first floor. The bell-based gabled roof has a ridge stack located to the left of centre and at the west gable. The facade retains three early 19th-century casements with glazing bars, and there is a 20th-century door offset to the left.
