Description

Manor House is a house that shows evidence of medieval or 17th century construction in its west gable, with an 18th century front section and a 19th century rear section. The building is made of flint, with a brick and stone-dressed west gable, clunch and brick on the south side, and brick on the north side. It has a smut pantile roof with red ridge tiles. The house is two storeys high with attics, arranged in four bays and a double pile plan.

The west gable indicates an earlier build, featuring outer knapped flint at the north and south angles, brick quoins on the north side, cut stone on the south side, and infill made of knapped and rubble flint along with reused cut stone blocks. The south front has been refaced or rebuilt in the 18th century, showcasing three ground floor tripartite sash windows with glazing bars, framed by central brick dressings, brick tympanums, and segmental arches above. The first floor has four sash windows with glazing bars and flush brick rusticated dressings.

There is an off-axis porch that is segmental in plan, supported by two columns and featuring a two-leaf part glazed door. The ground floor has a stone coped plinth, while the first floor has a brick platband. The hipped roof includes two flat-roofed two-light casement dormers with lead glazing bars and two ridge stacks. The north pile is constructed in English bond brick.
