Description

East End Farm House is a farmhouse dating from the 17th century, with alterations from the early to mid 18th century, possibly around 1729. The building is constructed of coursed, squared clunch with brick dressings and features a red pantiled roof.

On the ground floor, there are three irregularly spaced windows on the east side and two regularly spaced windows on the west side. The first floor has two windows on the east and two on the west, all of which are sash windows with glazing bars set in flat plastered rendered architraves. The central door is a 20th-century replacement. There is one partly blocked brick-dressed window on the ground floor and one rusticated brick-dressed window on the first floor. A sundial with a datestone reading W.G. 1729 indicates the likely date of the window alterations.

The farmhouse features brick rusticated end quoins, brick kneelers, and courses that heighten the eaves level. The gables are finished with coped parapets, and the building has a central axial stack as well as an additional stack at the east end.
