Description

This is a mid-18th century house, originally a malthouse. It is constructed of red brick with a red pantile roof and is arranged over two storeys with three bays. The ground floor has two wooden-framed sash windows with glazing bars, set beneath flat brick arches. The first floor has three similar sash windows. A central wooden doorcase with a pentice entablature shelters a six-panel raised and fielded door, which has a glazing bar fanlight above. A saw-tooth dentil and corbelled moulded brick cornice runs along the eaves. The roof is steeply pitched with two gable stacks at each end. Spear-topped iron railings are present, with a central wicket gate and swept angles at the corners. A catslide roof extends at the rear.
