Description
The remains of a detached domestic range, located 140 metres south of Abbey Farmhouse across the River Nar, date back to the medieval period, possibly the 14th and 15th centuries. This rectangular, two-storey structure is constructed from flint with clunch and brick dressings. It is thought to have served as the theological school or "Schools for Sons of Gentlemen" referenced in contemporary documents. The site is designated as a Scheduled Ancient Monument, County Number 170.
