Description
The remains of a wayside cross, dating from the 14th century, are located at Pentney Abbey Road. This structure is made of limestone and small iron-stained flint. It features a cruciform base supported by four buttresses, each topped with a limestone cap, starting approximately 1.5 meters above the ground. The octagonal limestone shaft rises to about 2.5 meters. The cross is situated 2 kilometers east-north-east of the Augustinian Priory. It is also designated as a Scheduled Ancient Monument in Norfolk.
