Description

This memorial stone, located 4 meters north of the Church of All Saints, dates back to 1725 and is made of ashlar. The inscription on the stone is illegible. It features a coved set-back top and a bowed oval inscription panel framed by a pair of Ionic columns that have entasis. The stone includes a moulded architrave, with running scroll motifs filling the spandrels of the inscription panel below it. Above the architrave, there are two putti heads. This memorial stone is noted as a particularly good and early example of the popular 18th-century headstone design.
