Description
31 Southtown Road is a house, now partly used as offices, dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed of gault brick and topped with a pantiled roof. The building is two storeys high and features a three-window range. The central entrance has a half-glazed door set within a doorcase that includes two fluted pilasters rising to a plain entablature. There are sash windows on either side of the door, which do not have glazing bars and are set under painted gauged skewback arches. The first floor has three similar sash windows, with the central one featuring horns. A modillion eaves cornice runs below the gabled roof, and the original stacks have been removed. Inside, there is a stick baluster staircase.
