Description
Old Hall Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the mid 17th century, with alterations made in the mid 18th century and extensions added in the early 20th century. It is constructed of roughcast brick and flint, with the north side being whitewashed. The roof is covered with concrete corrugated tiles. The building has a through passage plan and stands two storeys tall with an attic.
The north front features a three-storey cross wing that is set to the left of the centre. There is a panelled door with an 18th-century Gibbsian surround beneath a Dutch timber pediment, and one 20th-century window on each floor above. The cross wing has a Dutch gable. Flanking the cross wing are early 20th-century single-storey extensions, with the one to the west having a dormer.
The south front consists of five bays, with a panelled door that has a timber surround. The windows are 20th-century casements, with those on the ground floor having segmental arches. The roof is gabled, featuring a ridge stack to the right of the door and a partly external stack at the western gable end.
