Description
Mill House is an early 19th-century house located on Mill Road in Horstead with Stanninghall. It is constructed of gault brick and red brick, topped with a black pantile roof. The building has an 'L' shaped plan and stands two storeys high, featuring a lean-to conservatory on the south side. The facade facing Mill Road consists of three bays, with a slightly projecting central bay that has a pediment above the eaves. The entrance includes double doors with a fanlight, framed by timber surrounds with fluted pilasters and a plain entablature. The windows are sash style with glazing bars and flat gauged brick arches. The roof features timber modillion eaves and is hipped, with gault brick stacks. The conservatory has a gault brick dado and is characterized by closely set timber mullions and glazing bars.
