Description
Old Hall Farm House is a house dating from the 17th century, with early 19th century additions. It is constructed of red brick, featuring a gault brick wing from the 19th century. The building has hipped slate roofs and is two storeys high with a part-attic, following a 'T'-shaped plan. The rear wing, which is older, has casement windows with glazing bars. On the north side, there is a porch that has a 4-centred arched doorway and a first-floor window with two lights, featuring a brick mullion and a dripmould. The west wall has two blocked openings that still show remnants of dripmoulds. There is an axial gault brick chimneystack. The early to mid-19th century gault brick wing on the east side has a facade of three bays, with a central entrance door that has a moulded brick surround. The windows are sash windows with flat gauged arches above the openings. There are two banded chimneystacks symmetrically placed on the west side of the ridge line, and the building has a wide eaves overhang with a bracketted soffit.
