Description

The Little Shop and China Cottage comprise three early 19th-century terraced cottages, now combined into a single house and shop. The building is constructed of red brick with a pantile roof. It is two storeys high, with each section originally intended to have one window and an entrance door. The left-hand entrance door is paired with a through passage door, both set within timber doorcases featuring moulded pilasters, patera stops, and a cornice. The windows are sash windows with glazing bars, each with a segmental brick arch above. The first-floor window on the left-hand side lacks glazing bars. Timber brackets support the eaves. Two chimney stacks are located at the rear. Wrought iron forecourt gates and railings are attached to a low brick wall along the front facade.
