Description

The Oaks is an 18th-century house located on the south side of Mill Street in Newton St. Faith. It is built of colourwashed brick and features a steeply-pitched thatched roof, with 1½ storeys. The front has three widely spaced windows, which are two- and four-light casements, likely from the 19th century. The doorway is off-centre and has a moulded architrave, a four-panelled door, and a later canopy above it. The gables are parapeted, with the east gable rendered and an internal chimney stack. There is an off-centre chimney stack on the ridge line, and two attic dormers are present on the south side. Additionally, there is a one-storey pantiled range of outbuildings at the east gable.
