Description

The Bell is an 18th-century public house, refronted in the 19th century. It is constructed of colourwashed brick with a pantile roof and has a semi-detached, 'L'-shaped plan. The building has two storeys and three windows, with a 20th-century central door and ground floor casement windows with glazing bars. A central blank window is also present. It features a dentil eaves course and a partially rebuilt curved gable to the right, with an end stack. The rear wing is not of particular interest. Inside the bar is an 18th-century corner cupboard. A date of 1720 is inscribed on the gable. The building is included on the list for group value.
