Description
Bury Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the mid-17th century, which was refaced in the 18th century. It is constructed of rendered brick and has a pantiled roof. The building has two storeys and an attic. The early 20th-century hipped porch is flanked by two 19th-century horned sash windows with glazing bars. Above the porch, there is a three-light casement window, and to the right, there is a similar sash window. On the left side, there is a stepped external stack from the 17th century. The north gable wall is slightly stepped and features a parapet on kneelers, with three blocked 17th-century windows and one that is open. Inside, there is an internal gable stack. The roof is gabled and hipped to the east. There is a rear cross wing that has a gabled roof and a rebuilt stack similar to the front. Additionally, there is an outshut with a catslide roof to the north. The south front has had its doorcase removed and features three-light 19th-century casements.
