Description

Manor Farm House is a farmhouse dating to the mid-17th century, with a largely 18th-century brick facade. It has a corrugated tile roof. The house is built on a brick plinth, and the front elevation was re-faced in the 18th century. The main entrance is a door positioned to the left of centre, set under a flat entablature. To the right of the door are two 3-light casement windows, each with a segmental arch above. A 20th-century French window is located to the left of the door. A flat brick string course runs along the facade. The first floor has three 3-light casement windows with flat heads. Above the door is a small blocked window. The gabled roof has a low, coped parapet to the south, which sits on kneelers. A tripartite brick chimney stack from the mid-17th century stands above the door and is topped with a brick cap. The south gable features a large external brick stack with three set-offs. Pantiled fireboxes for ovens are positioned to the left and right of the stack. A string course runs at the first floor level and along the eaves line, encompassing the stack.
