Description
The White House is a house built in the early 19th century, with an extension added in 1885. It features a rendered clay lump exterior set on a plinth of flint and brick, topped with a hipped roof covered in black pantiles. The building has two storeys and includes a central doorcase with a flat hood supported by consoles. The entrance has a panelled door with a rectangular light above it. To the right of the door is a late 19th-century French door, while to the left is a sash window. The first floor has three sash windows, all with glazing bars. The eaves are supported by paired modillions, and there is a central chimney stack. The two-storey extension on the west front, dated 1865, has its upper storey supported by moulded timber columns and features continuous timber mullioned windows, while the lower storey is glazed with iron frames.
