Description
Hillcrest is a house built in 1867, constructed of brick with a black glazed pantiled roof. It stands two storeys high on a plinth. The ground floor features four openings: a doorway leading to the yard, an entrance door, and two windows. All these openings have pointed segmental arches made of burnt and red brick, with the windows having higher arches as relieving arches over flat brick lintels. The windows are designed as two-light with transoms. Below the first floor, there is a flush string course, and the first floor has cross casement windows. The eaves cornice is saw-tooth in style. The roof is gabled with a slight parapet on the kneelers, and there is a stack located to the right. At the rear, there is a two-storey cross wing that features similar windows. The pitched roof at the first floor level creates an open outshut. This building is included for its group value.
