Description
Nos. 13 and 15 on Water Lane are a pair of houses built in the late 18th century and restored in 1984. They are constructed from flint with gault brick dressings and feature a pantile roof. The buildings are two storeys high with three first-floor bays. There are two central 20th-century half-glazed doors beneath segmental heads. On either side of the doors, there is a segmental 20th-century sash window; the left window (No. 13) has 6/6 glazing bars, while the right window has 2/2 glazing bars. The first floor is also lit by three similar windows, with the left pair having 6/6 glazing bars and the other having 2/2. The eaves cornice is adorned with upright modillions, and the eaves were rebuilt and raised in 1984. The gabled roof has internal gable-end stacks. There are 20th-century extensions at the rear. Inside No. 15, there is a winder staircase by the stack and a plain chamfered bridging beam. The interior of No. 13 has not been inspected but is likely similar to No. 15.
