Description
Warren Farmhouse is a farmhouse located on the Hilborough Hall estate, dated 1845. It is constructed of gault brick on the north facade and features broken flint with gault brick dressings, topped with a slate roof. The building is designed in a Gothick style and has a square plan with projecting octagonal turrets at each corner, as well as at the corners of the two-storey porch.
The farmhouse stands two storeys high, with each facade consisting of three bays of sash windows, which originally had glazing bars. These windows are set beneath skewback arches and plain rectangular hood moulds. There are also several later sash windows with single vertical glazing bars. The structure includes a three-course platband and dentil cornices, along with crenellated corner turrets.
The entrance facade faces south and features a two-storey porch with a four-centred entrance arch that contains a glazed tripartite door frame in Gothic style. Above this, there is an ogee arch to a first-floor window with a two-light Y-traceried frame, and a stepped gable above that. The roof is flipped with central stacks.
