Description

Waylands is a cottage dating from the late 17th century. It features a partly timber-framed structure with rendered wattle and daub and clay lump infill, topped by a thatched gable roof. The building has a lobby entrance plan and consists of one storey with a dormer attic, sitting on a brick and flint plinth. The front has three 19th-century casement windows with hoods on labels, and a similar door located to the left of centre beneath the stack. The west gable wall has been rebuilt in brick. At the rear, there are three renewed casement windows and two thatched gabled dormers that sit above the eaves line. There are outbuildings attached to the west, but they are not included in this listing.
