Description
North Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the mid 18th century, featuring a rear range built of flint and a rendered brick facade added in the mid 19th century. The building has pantiled roofs and stands two storeys tall. Its facade consists of seven bays that are arranged in three planes. To the right of the center, there is a broken pediment doorcase supported by plain columns, which contains a panelled door beneath a semi-circular medallion with a carved fan. All the windows are wide tripartite sashes, with smaller versions on the first floor. The central bays have a brick string course at the first floor level. The hipped roofs have two symmetrical stacks on the rear slope. There are two rear crosswings and an extension to the north, both from the mid 18th century, also with hipped roofs. The fenestration on the rear is scattered under segmental arches, mostly consisting of casements. A third crosswing to the west was added in the early 1950s.
