Description
Crown House is a former inn dating from the 18th century. It is constructed of knapped and galletted flint with brick dressings, and there is some stone or clunch in the south gable. The building has a pantiled roof and stands two storeys high. It features six modern two-light casement windows with glazing bars, which are set beneath skewback arches with cambered soffits. The front door is off-centre and boarded, also featuring a similar arch. The building has a chamfered plinth and a plain platband. The original roof pitch has been reduced due to heightened elevations, and there are gable-end stacks with tumbling-in. There are later additions to the side and rear of the building.
