Description

Gateley Hall Barn and Stables is a late 17th century barn that has been converted into stables at one end, with 18th century stables. The structure features a timber frame with later brick nogging and a pantiled roof. There is a continuous brick lean-to on one side. The barn consists of about 14 bays, with occasional intermediate arch-braced ties, collars, two sets of butt-purlins, and windbracing. A billiard room from the 19th century has been added to the southeast end.
