Description
The Beeches is an early 19th-century house constructed of gault brick with a slate roof. It has two storeys and a four-bay facade. The entrance features an off-centre porch in the Tuscan order, supported by free-standing pilasters, and includes a six-panelled door beneath tripartite glazed panels. The facade is divided by a pair of giant order brick pilasters located at the left corner and between the third and fourth bays on the right. There are three sash windows on the ground floor and four on the first floor, all with glazing bars. A string course runs around the entire house, separating the floors. The roof is hipped, with a lead flat and a pair of symmetrical chimneys. The south facade is similar, with three bays, but includes a single-storey canted bay window and a parapet, which now has a 20th-century conservatory attached. There are two additional chimney stacks at the rear.
