Description
This pair of cottages, located 180 meters south of Oxfootstone Farmhouse, dates from the early 18th century. They are timber framed with wattle and daub infill, which has been rendered in the late 20th century in herringbone panels. The cottages feature a thatched roof and are one storey high with a dormer attic. They have a lobby entrance plan, and all doors and windows are from the late 20th century. The gabled roof includes three eyebrow dormers, and there is a ridge stack positioned left of center above the entrance. Additionally, there are pantiled extensions on both the right and left sides. The timber frame remains intact and is made of thin scantling.
