Description

This 17th-century barn is located at Mill Farm. It is a timber-framed structure with tarred weatherboard cladding. The roof is covered with black glazed pantiles on the south side and red pantiles on the north. A single-story lean-to, with a boarded exterior and pantile roof, is attached to the north side. The barn has five bays, including an off-centre waggon entrance on the south elevation. Inside, an original brick threshing floor remains. The roof is a clasped purlin design, featuring diagonal struts from the tie beams to the purlins and collar braces. The barn is included on the list for its group value with Mill Farmhouse.
