Description

The Church of All Saints is a parish church located in Lynford Santon. The nave was rebuilt in 1628, while the chancel and likely the tower were constructed in 1858, incorporating some re-used medieval materials. The building is made of flint with stuccoed brick and some ashlar dressings, topped with slate roofs.

The church features an aisleless nave with a tower at the southwest corner and a north porch leading to the chancel. The 19th-century tower is unbuttressed and has an octagonal bell stage. The ground floor includes one blind lancet and one two-light Y-traceried window. The bell stage is adorned with four lancet openings and a crenellated parapet. The nave, dating from 1628, has stuccoed brick dressings, with the north wall showcasing a centrally placed semi-circular headed doorway flanked by wide lancets.

A 19th-century timber porch sits on a tall brick and flint plinth, featuring a cusped barge board and arched open sides. The south side of the church has one two-light Y-traceried window, while the west wall displays some brick diapering and a three-light Y-traceried window. The chancel, built in the 19th century, has single lancets on the north and south sides and a pair of lancets with a quatrefoil on the east. Inside, there is a 17th-century octagonal pulpit with cock's head hinges and elaborate 19th-century ceramic tiles on the east wall.
