Description
This is a terrace of three houses, numbers 14, 16, and 18, located on The Street in Croxton. Number 18 dates to 1803, while numbers 14 and 16 were built in 1839. The terrace was restored in 1977. The construction is flint with brick dressings and a pantiled roof. The houses are two storeys high. Number 18 features a central doorway with brick surrounds, along with two ground-floor windows to the left and one to the right. It has three first-floor windows, each situated under a segmental brick arch. While the openings are original, all the windows are replacements from the 1977 restoration. Numbers 14 and 16 have doors positioned opposite stacks, and each house possesses one ground-floor window and two first-floor windows, restored to match the detailing of number 18. A dentiled eaves cornice runs along the length of the terrace. The south gable wall was rebuilt in 1977. A 20th-century flint and brick extension has been added to the rear. An internal gable stack is present.
