Description
This house, located 50 yards south of Chapel Farmhouse, dates from the late 18th century to the early 19th century. It is constructed of flint with brick facings and has a tiled roof. The building has two storeys and an attic, following a double pile plan. The rear range is from the late 18th century, while the front range is dated 1801 on a plate. The street-facing side features a 19th-century timber and brick porch. There are remnants of an early 19th-century casement window to the right, but most windows are late 19th-century plate glass with painted brick surrounds. The eaves have a dentiled cornice, and there is a ridge stack located to the right of centre, along with a stack on the north gable.
The garden facade includes two doorways and a tripartite bay window to the left, which combines one sash window and two casements, all with intact glazing bars. A four-light window on the first floor to the right is from the 18th century, while the remaining windows are from the 19th century, also with painted brick surrounds similar to those on the front. Inside, there are two internal gable stacks, and the valley between the two ranges is filled with a horizontal parapet.
