Description
This lych gate, built between 1863 and 1865 by H. Woodyer, is located about 25 meters south of the Church of St. Paul in Abbots Langley. It is constructed of timber and features a tiled roof. The structure is square in shape and supported by four corner posts with curved scissor braces. The roof has a pyramidal base, with small gables at the front and rear, and a smaller gabled crosspiece. The gables are adorned with bracing and quatrefoils. The front gate includes quatrefoil panels, while the rear gate is distinguished by twisted iron colonnettes.
