Description
Chequers Inn is a building dating from 1727, as indicated by a roundel on the gable end that features the initials M, I, and A, representing the owner's surname and the first names of the husband and wife. The front elevation has a gabled design and is plastered, with shallow bay windows on either side of a gabled wooden porch. The side elevation is finished with painted weatherboarding and includes three gabled dormers on the tiled roof. The building has one storey and attics, with three flush casement windows that have glazing bars.
