Description
The barn at Turner's Hall Farm, located 60 metres northwest of Turners Hall House, is a mid 19th-century structure. It is a large and well-detailed example built from red brick with a slate roof. The barn is part of a contemporary E-plan group of farm buildings, although those buildings are not of special interest.
The barn features gable ends and has six blind arches on each long side, along with two on the ends. These arches are supported by giant brick piers that have chamfered plinths and capitals, with the end piers being twinned. On the northwest side, the intermediate arches are open, with the left arch retaining double doors. The blank arches include semicircular lunettes in their spandrels, which have chequered brick ventilation and stone sills. There are doors to the intermediate bays on the southeast side, and a simple brick cornice runs all around the building. Inside, the barn has a queen post roof.
