Description
This is a house, originally a pair of cottages, dating from the 17th and 18th centuries. A new north range was built in the early 19th century, projecting forward to create a rectangular block facing the road. The rear of the building is timber-framed, while the front is covered in red brick. It has a plain tile roof, hipped in form, and sloping down on the roadside, over a 18th-19th century lean-to extension. The building is two storeys high and has two windows; a 19th-century horizontal sash window is on the right-hand ground floor, and a 20th-century sash window is above it. There are two segmental-headed doorways in the centre. A 17th or 18th-century chimney stack is located at the rear of the roof, near the road. The building is included on the list for its group value.
