Description

No. 8 St Michael's Street is a 17th-century building that stands two storeys high and features two windows. It has a moderately pitched tiled roof with visible rafter ends. The first floor is cement rendered, and although it originally had a jettied front, the ground floor has been brought forward and constructed in red brick. The first-floor windows are three-light casements set in slightly projecting box frames. On the ground floor, there is one window on the left, an 18th-century sash window with glazing bars in a flush box frame, and an earlier three-light casement window on the right. The building has a plain doorway and a penthouse extension at the rear.
