Description

Nos 43 and 43A on King Street are an early 19th century building with a front that has been added to an earlier structure. The exterior is finished in plaster and features an old tiled roof with an eaves cornice and three gabled dormers. The building is two storeys high with attics and has six flush sash windows set in moulded frames. The left central carriageway is marked by simplified Doric pilasters and a segmental arch with a cornice above. There are brick chimneystacks topped with pairs of attached octagonal shafts. This property is part of a group that includes Nos 41 to 67 (odd) and the barns adjacent to the north end of No 41 and No 43A.
