Description
This pair of gate piers, located about 5 meters east of The Lodge, were likely built around 1723 for the 2nd Duke of Devonshire. They are made of ashlar and flank the drive to Odsey and Odsey Grange, originally serving Odsey House. The piers are short and feature moulded bases and caps, which are topped with large bulbous urns adorned with lion masks facing in four directions, along with moulded finials.
