Description
The Quillet is a house located in Kelshall, dating from the late 17th century. It features a timber frame that is rendered and weatherboarded, topped with a half hipped thatched roof. The building has three bays and is one storey with an attic.
On the ground floor, the entrance is positioned to the left and is flanked by a single light casement window and an 8-pane sash window. To the right, there is a 20th-century two-light flush frame casement window, with weatherboarding below the sill level. The house has two two-light dormers, with the larger one located to the right. A central ridge stack is present, and the weatherboarded right end facing the road contains casement windows. The left end is also weatherboarded and features a lean-to outshut, with exposed plates and purlins. Behind the two right bays, there is a catslide roof over the lean-to outshut.
