Description
Number 43, Elm Lodge, and its front railings date from the early to mid-19th century. The building is constructed of red brick with a hipped roof covered in Welsh slate, featuring paired brackets to the eaves cornice. It is two storeys high, with a band marking the first floor. The front elevation features three sash windows with flat cutter arches above, and a canted bay window to the ground floor. The property is included on the list for its group value, relating to numbers 41 to 43 and their associated front railings and gate at number 42, and the railings to number 43 itself. Contemporary spearhead iron railings define the front area.
