Description

This is a terrace of houses on the south west side of High Street, Codicote. The facades date from the early 19th century and are built of red brick, although the core of the buildings is likely from the 17th or 18th century and of timber frame construction. The roof is covered with plain tiles and has dentilled brick eaves. The terrace is two storeys high with mid-to-late 19th century square sash windows; those on the ground floor are topped with segmental heads. The doors are plank. Number 82 is painted white and features a canted bay window on the ground floor, with chamfered angles. A dated brick, inscribed with the year 1815, is visible on the side elevation facing Bakers Lane. A rear extension is present, distinguished by a steeper pitched roof. The terrace is included on the list due to its group value.
