Description

Orchard Cottage is a house dating from the late 17th century or early 18th century, which was renovated and extended at the rear in the 19th century. It features a timber frame on a black stucco plinth and is roughcast, topped with a steep thatched roof. The house is small, standing at one and a half storeys and facing west. It has two eyebrow dormer windows at the eaves and a bay window to the right of a plank door that is sheltered by a tiled pentice. There is a projecting chimney on the north gable and an internal chimney on the south gable.
