Description
The Cock Public House is a late 18th century or early 19th century building located on the northeast side of High Street. It features a red and grey brick front and a tiled roof with a corbelled cornice. The structure is two storeys tall and has two casement windows on the first floor. The ground floor includes two canted bay windows with glazing bars and a doorhood supported by cut brackets. This public house is part of a group that includes several other buildings on the street, specifically Nos 1 to 11 (odd), 15, 19, 21, the outbuilding east of No 21, 23, 23A, 25, 29, 33, 35A, 37, 37B, 41A, 41B, 41, 43, 45, and 53 to 63 (odd).
