Description
37 and 38B High Street is a building from the 18th century that features a front added to an earlier structure, likely timber framed. The front wall is made of red brick and has a parapet above an old tiled roof. The building has two storeys and includes three first-floor sash windows set in reveals beneath flat arches. There are two mid-19th century shop windows with glazing bars. A central door is topped with a rectangular fanlight that has ornamental glazing bars, all framed by an architrave and supported by a cut bracketed hood. This building is included for its group value with other nearby structures.
