Description

108 and 109 Bancroft are 18th-century buildings made of red brick with a hipped old tiled roof featuring a modillion cornice and a parapet. They stand two storeys high and have modern shop windows on the ground floor. The first floor includes three sash windows set under flat arches, along with a canted bay window, all featuring glazing bars. Notably, the interior is said to contain a hidden strongroom from a solicitor's office that was constructed during the Napoleonic Wars. These buildings, along with Nos 91 to 93, Nos 95 to 103B, and Nos 105 to 109, form a group.
