Description

This is a house built in 1914 by W H Cowlishaw. It was constructed with roughcast over brick and has a gabled roof covered in plain tiles; a brick ridge stack is also present. The building follows a rectangular plan and is one storey and an attic in height, with a two-window front. A gabled porch is set to the left of a central gabled dormer. The porch is panelled and contains a panelled door set in the right-hand wall, along with a flat, rendered arch over a two-light wood casement window with leaded lights. Similar casement windows, up to four lights wide, are located on either side of the porch, and in the dormer. A similar pattern of windows is visible on the sides and rear of the property. The interior has not been inspected. The house was originally built for the manager of the Edmondsbury Weaving Works, located at 126 Ridge Road. The building is included in the list for its group value.
