Description

This is a terrace of three cottages, numbered 19 to 25 Lytton Avenue, built in 1907 by Courtenay Crickmer. The design draws inspiration from traditional cottage architecture and was showcased at the 1907 Urban Cottages Exhibition.

The cottages are two storeys high and each has two windows. They present a symmetrical facade with projecting bays on the first floor, supported by brackets. The roofs are tiled, with roughcast chimney stacks. The walls are roughcast, with a tile band marking the first-floor level. Some sections are tile-hung. The windows are casement style with two or three lights and glazing bars. The doors are boarded. The cottages are listed primarily for their group value.
