Description
Nos 44 to 58 on Rushby Walk are two terraces of grouped cottages built in 1911 by B Parker and R Unwin. This development is part of a pioneering cul-de-sac. The cottages are two storeys high, each with one window, and feature symmetrical facades with gabled end bays. They have tiled roofs with brick stacks and roughcast walls. The windows are two and three light mullioned types with glazing bars and tile labels. The labels above the first-floor windows in the gabled bays extend to form strings. The ground floor includes splayed bay windows and half-glazed doors that have bracketed hoods extending over the bay windows. The original paintwork specification of cream walls and windows, along with green doors, has been preserved.
