Description
The building occupied by Premier Travel Agency, formerly known as The Former County Court, dates from 1849, as indicated on the frieze on the north and west fronts. It is constructed of colour-washed gault brick and features a low roof with stucco dressings. The building is a single storey and includes a plinth, four rusticated pilasters, an entablature with consoles, and a blocking course with a round-headed feature in the center above an arched panel that contains the royal arms. The central round-arched doorway has a six-panel, two-fold door with a fanlight, surrounded by pilasters and an archivolt. There are also two sash windows, each consisting of two round-arched lights with Doric pilaster surrounds, plain archivolts, and keyblocks.
